How To Live During the Lockdown?

10/5/2020

Dear all,

It’s been quite a while since I gave you an update. I hope you all are well, safe and healthy. I often wonder how you handle your life during the lockdown.

I have recently stumbled onto the advice of a young Argentinian man, Matias De Stefano, who remembered his past life being in the star called: Sirius. His story is quite amazing and I’m listening to his talks on gaia.com at the moment. The truth regarding ONENESS and Being in the NOW is undoubtedly a universal one too. I just want to connect what Matias said to the familiar concept of Innocent Perception, which is the core of my teaching. He said that we all die anyway for certain. What we must do is not about trying to survive, but try to ‘live’. Although it is a short sentence, it needs elaboration.

I don’t know about you, I view ‘death’ as a transition of a journey where I can travel to other exciting places and see the things I haven’t yet seen before. It’s quite an exciting moment to look forward to. So, I don’t connect death with any negative emotion more than 2 decades now. So, to me, it doesn’t matter if one dies at the age of 20, 40, 60, 80 or 90. This makes no difference, the end result is dead, which no one can escape. So, there is no need to fight for ‘survival’. What we need to fight for or learn rather is to ‘live our lives to its fullness’. How can we do that? The initial state is to slow our minds down. That is to slow our thoughts & feelings (Jerry) to the point where you can experience the silence and stillness or experiencing your ‘mental space’. Mindfulness meditation (Vipassana) is the tool aiding you to achieve such unique ‘mental space’. Once you have that awesome moment under your belt, you begin to live your life in its fulness. That is the same moment as having ‘innocent perception’ and being with the NOW.

The reason I’m prompted to say this because I’ve just been through that ‘magical moment’ in my garden this morning during my daily Tai chi routine. It is very windy here today in Birmingham, where I live. I could feel that the wind is ALIVE! Witnessing, hearing and feeling the scene of the trees blowing in the wind plus the first sniff of my first yellow scented rose of this spring, the whole experience was truly awesome and divine. There are no human words can describe such an amazing encounter with mother nature. This is about living our lives to its fullness in the magical NOW.

I thought this concept may help you to live better during the lockdown, which hopefully will end soon. It won’t be easy in the situation we are having now if one cannot be content with oneself.

I have managed to finally finish my 400 pages book in Thai and is now in the process of printing. Amarin TV in Thailand also aired the first 2 episodes of my life and teaching in their program called: Daily Happiness…7 Days, 7 Gurus. There are a few pictures taken at Wat Mahathat, Kings Bromley, in there too if you want to browse through the clip. The venue we used is amazingly beautiful.

I hope very much that I can resume my teaching at Wat Mahathat again someday. I shall let you know when it happens.

I hope you all are well and are not too stressed by the global event we are facing now. I’m still quite sure that we will get through this tough time and come out far better than before.

Take care and enjoy the wind and the spring.

Love & light,
