Fun Weekend Dharma For Kids Activities

Children of all ages are having fun joining the weekend Dharma For Kids activities hosted by our dedicated volunteers at the Innocent Perception Centre near Bangkok. This Saturday we welcomed kids aged between three and 13 years old and their parents, to spend a few hours playing and learning about BMSBH (bringing your mental self back home) together.

Dharma For Kids activities with Supawan Green at the Innocent Perception Centre

The innocent Perception Center’s founder, Supwan Green, dropped in by video link from England to chat with the participants.

The weekend groups are small at the moment but there’s growing interest in the family activities held at the Innocent Perception Centre. Even the youngest participants quickly understood the BMSBH concept of ‘Jerry’ causing mental suffering and giving rise to negative emotions such as anger and jealousy.

Dharma For Kids is fun for all Ages

Last week the ‘Dharma Army’ of volunteers from the centre visited a Bangkok kindergarten to teach a class of children about BMSBH. It was the first time our volunteers had visited a school instead of teaching at the IP centre.

The BMSBH teachings conceived by Supawan Green are based on Buddhist mindfulness techniques to nurture positive growth, a healthy outlook on life and a sense of community founded on loving kindness.

The kids have fun learning about everyday situations that can give rise to negative emotions caused by ‘Jerry’. They learn to spot Jerry and how to turn negative experiences into positive opportunities.

No fee is charged for the Dharma For Kids activities but donations are accepted from those able to afford a small contribution to help cover some of the cost and contribute to our Community Support programs. All ages are welcome. If you’d like to bring your children along to try out the weekend activities for kids, use the contact form below to get in touch.
