Bringing Children’s Hearts Back Home
We’re excited to announce the launch of our Bring Your Heart Home project to help children develop essential life skills at the Innocent Perception Centre in Salaya.
More than a dozen children joined the first Bring Your Heart Home session hosted by Chef Pim on Saturday 21st September from 9am to 1pm. The children enjoyed making cakes and decorating them as well as participating in other fun activities aimed at stimulating creative expression while learning practical skills that will benefit them in later years.
The launch of the Bring Your Heart Home project marks the beginning of a long-term initiative to give younger generations a head start in developing mindfulness, self confidence and practical skills by participating in activities such as cooking, sewing, arts and crafts as well as meditation.
The ultimate aim of the project is to immerse children in activities that help them anchor mindfulness in everyday situations by applying concentration techniques they’ve learned.
In order to foster a more peaceful and respectful society in future generations, we have written a letter to the Prime Minister of Thailand requesting support in gaining wider recognition of the Bring Your Heart Home project and our mission to develop mindfulness in children.
The mindfulness for children sessions are organized on weekends and school holidays and in conjunction with adult activities at the Innocent Perception Centre.
