I would like to begin my storytelling by expressing my profound gratitude to everyone who gave donations to the Piggy Bank Project (PBP), which aims to help hard-working people with low income. This charitable cause leads to a few real-life stories I’m about to tell you. There are a few individuals whom I find truly inspiring. The least I can do is share their stories with you. Before I begin running the stories, please allow me to update you a bit about my work. Regarding my annual teaching in Thailand, I usually left England in mid-September and return home just before Christmas. This had been my non-disrupted yearly plan since 2005 until Covid 19 arrived. I left home on the last week of September 2020, which was 7 months ago and I have no idea when I will return home. This lengthy stay turned out to be a blessing in many ways because it was also the same time that the construction of our Innocent Perception Centre was finished. We have so much to do to establish the groundwork for future operation. It’s good that I am here to lead, give advice, as well as conduct live teaching. It’s a shame that we had to cancel courses due to the spread of Covid 19. However, we managed to celebrate the inauguration of our BMSBH Centre on 21st March 2021 before another lockdown 2 weeks after that.
The Innocent Perception Foundation (IPF)
In an attempt to make our BMSBH Centre a legal body and be able to re-ceive donations without issues, we are now in the process of submitting an application to register The Innocent Perception Foundation (IPF). Once this charitable foundation is completed, we are able to operate all activities under the umbrella of the IPF situated on the ground of Innocent Perception Centre. The PBP will be one of the programs under the umbrella of the IPF. Now that we have a magnificent building for ourselves, there are so many potential projects we can do to fulfil our goal, not just teaching Dhamma and meditation but also reach out to those with physical need through PBP.
I love my life!
Although I’m pushing 70 in a couple of years, I can’t see my retirement on the horizon at all. It is more in the opposite, thank god that I feel robust enough to carry on working. I feel like I’m now living my dream…the dream that I’ve aimed for and work hard towards in the past 40 years.
I do love my life now because I have the means to help people with both physical, mental, and spiritual need. This is a real privilege to be granted such divine opportunity. My life is truly fulfilled despite a few bumpy ride in between during the journey. I have no regrets whatsoever. All tough times turned out to be the main ingredient making one stronger. This is an undeniable fact. Thanks to the Buddha’s knowledge that makes me what I am today. The least I can do is to share his precious wisdom with the world as I’ve been doing passionately in the past 30 years. I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to my team of staff in Thailand, who have the unfailing support in me, trust me and stand by me all this time. We are now in a much stronger position to move forward with more charitable work for the betterment of humankind.
Thank you all.
