Newsletter No. 6 | Monday 20th May 2024 | The Crucial Role of Innocent Perception in Our Spiritual Journey |
Dear all, |
I shall explain why Innocent Perception is needed regarding our spiritual destination. |
The first thing people must know is that if there is such a thing as ‘the ultimate truth’, it must be one. It cannot be two or three, nor can it conveniently belong to a particular religion. |
In this context, allow me to add the term oneness to my bucket of big words. Most importantly, the One Ultimate Truth can’t have anything to do with human thoughts and language. It is because thought and language, although necessary, are ironically the source of separation and endless conflicts, not unity and peace. |
That’s why humanity is still far from being united after two millennia of religious teachings. The fighting in the name of ‘My God is better than your God’ is still fiercely ongoing. This conflict is the result of not knowing the spiritual destination. The words God, Nirvana, Tao, Truth and even Oneness do not help people identify the non-physical ultimate experience. These words tend to lead people down the philosophical path or the slippery slope, causing knowledge to be scattered without clarity and ending. Even though meditation practitioners are standing right on that non-physical destination, they can only tell once they happen upon a ‘local guide’ and receive the guided wisdom. |
A local guide must be gifted and well-equipped with language and analogies to deliver a spiritual message where language plays no part. You can now understand why Buddha and Christ used parables, metaphors and storytelling to deliver their divine message. That’s why Innocent Perception is beneficial. Innocent Perception requires no philosophical debate nor intellectualisation. On the contrary, Innocent Perception is strictly connected to meditation practice. With the guidance of a local guide and the proper technique, one will reach the stage to perceive everything as it is or Innocent Perception. Innocent Perception is the complete blend of spiritual and physical experiences meeting perfectly in the Void. |
Furthermore, the experiencers can tell that this is the experience due to the physical side of the encounter in the form of sight, sound, smell, taste and texture. This entire process of testing and making observations is purely scientific and based entirely on experience. Such clear experience acts as the metric for all practitioners to use. They can keep practising and testing for themselves if they are unsure, to discover whether the experience is Innocent Perception. |
Best wishes, |
